A student apparently innocent promise of surprise on his high school left him astonished when he was suspended.
The Georgia Crawford County High School sophomore John George III would come to school dressed as Santa. He posted on his Facebook page "Students from CCH clock in for a big surprise tomorrow." But anyone who has seen the post found it threatening and called the police.

According to the local station 13WMAZ, police said teen mother confirmed that George had bought a Santa suit, and he told police that he and his friends plan to dress up as Santa and his elves and hand out candy canes. He had even warned a teacher to his idea.
The police investigated and found no cause for concern. But Crawford High School Principal Mike Campbell was not convinced and said that he took the post disturbing. He had George suspended while the school investigates.

Roberta Police Ben Thomas told Georgia station nervousness around Newtown, Conn., could school massacre be to blame. "I think it could be that with all the things that happened in school last week and all the recordings people involved."
George's father, John, said the school overreacted. "We do not own guns., We have not any of these things on here, and we do not. We are a good family. He is a bombastic child like all of them, but he comes back in harmony with everything and causes no problems. "
